On Wednesday I will be doing a talk on web applications for a local Lions club. There are many small civic and professional clubs that struggle with organization and growth. Here are some examples of web applications I am aware of that some organizations use to make life easier.

• Google Calendar – Share events and meets with the group.
• Backpack – Share information among the group online.
• Quickbooks Online – Track organization finances and ease transition between treasurers.

Many organizations have also opted for custom solutions, like my bike club, which has created a custom application for tracking a ride calendar and cue sheets. Others use custom web applications for handling fund-raisers and events, like the MS-150 ride. All of these are designed to help the organization serve their primary purpose while saving hours of volunteer and staff time.
